Community Mural Project: Casa Esperanza in Roxbury July/August 2010
The MEM Project worked with Casa Esperanza in Roxbury for its inaugural mural project to paint a large public community mural. We invited volunteers from the nearby JP Jewish community to help paint alongside Casa Esperanza clients in recovery from substance addiction in the Latino Community. Both groups had separately brainstormed themes of hope ("Tikvah"/"Esperanza") and incorporated elements of that visual exploration into the mural design.
