Direct engagement in the artistic process through The MEM Project will provide you with the opportunity to embrace your Jewish heritage through the artistic exploration of your Jewish identity, to meet other Jewish young adults with common interests in art and social justice, to feel good about contributing something tangible to local underserved communities, and, in turn, to feel more connected to your community.
For Jewish organizations...
Direct engagement in the artistic process through The MEM Project will provide your group with a new outlet in which to engage in creative community service. You will have the opportunity to explore your Jewish identity (both personally and collectively), to practice Jewish values of social justice and community service through the expressive arts, to develop into future Jewish leaders who prioritize acts of community philanthropy, and, depending on the project, to connect with under-served communities in their neighborhood as a means of empowering and giving voice to those who may not think they have one.
For community nonprofits...
Direct engagement in the artistic process through The MEM Project will give voice to under-served communities to allow you to feel heard, to provide you with access to creative arts programming, to bring constituents together toward a common goal so that you no longer feel alone, and to offer an opportunity for you to develop self esteem as you discover hidden talents that can impact your community in a positive way.
