Community Mural Project: Kehillath Israel in Brookline December 2011
The MEM Project partnered with Congregation KI in Brookline to work with their youth to design and paint a mural as part of their Hanukkat HaBayit (Service Day) in December. The mural was inspired by the ideas and drawings of the 4-6th graders and includes images of creation in the Torah scroll, of Shabbat, or Noah's ark and the dove, and of symbols representing Israel. It was painted in just one day by kids as young as 4 to adults. Enjoy pics from this project in the slideshow below.
