The MEM Project

Community Mural Project: The Binah School in Sharon
October 2013 - June 2014

Tova Speter of The MEM Project partnered with The Binah School in Sharon to work with their students to design and paint a mural inspired by the themes of inclusion and diversity. This became the first public community mural in the town of Sharon - check out the media coverage on our news page.

This colorful mural highlights themes of inclusion, support, and connections, as well as a love for people of all abilities. Over 150 community members participated in the project, which hopes to raise awareness and inspire people to accept and embrace diversity.

Mural dedicated June 2014

Student Artists: Shoni, Talya, Channah Leah, Chana Bayla, Chava, Nesya, Ness, Leia, Chana, Ma'ayan, Noa, Dina, Moussie, and Zohi

Special thanks to Paul Remy and the Sharon Commission on Disabilities, Amanda Levasseur and the Sharon Recreation Department, and the Sharon Board of Selectmen for their support; to Paul Spender from the Department of Public Works for the installation; and to the Covenant Foundation for the funding that made this collaborative mural possible.
